Business Development Lead (BDL)

Location: Fully Remote, virtual (Any country)

Type: Consultant (Contract-Based)

Reports To: General Manager

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead sales strategies for tenders and grant subscriptions across the globe.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and B2B collaborations.
  • Mentor and support a global team of sales executives and consultants.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Represent the platform in high-level partnership meetings and events.
  • Lead communication and negotiation with institutional clients.
  • Oversee performance of active subscription accounts and handle high-profile clients.
  • Generate and present monthly business development reports to the General Manager.

✅ Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture related courses, Agribusiness, Horticulture, Supply Chain, Food Science, Business, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in international or multicultural environments is an added advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in using digital communication and data tracking tools.
  • Access to a personal computer and stable internet connection.
  • Willingness to lead a results-driven team virtually.

  • Source, request, organize, and upload verified tenders and grants in the agricultural sector.
  • Sell quarterly and half-year subscription packages globally.
  • Maintain communication with subscribed accounts by sharing relevant opportunities aligned with their sectors.
  • Support marketing campaigns targeting new and existing users.
  • Assist in building relationships with food and agriculture businesses.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of posted content on the platform.
  • Work towards monthly and quarterly subscription sales targets.

✅ Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Food Science, Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Sales or marketing experience is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literate, with basic proficiency in digital tools and email communication.
  • Access to a personal computer and stable internet connection.
  • Willingness to undergo initial training before starting.
